Applying to join our Sixth Form

Sixth Form Open Evening 2027 – Thursday 3rd December 4.30 – 6.30pm 

We are delighted to invite anyone interested in applying to Holte School Sixth Form to attend our Open Evening. Talk to Sixth Form Leaders, subject teachers, Heads of Department and most importantly current students about what it is like to study as part of the Holte School Sixth Form Community.

Applying to Holte Sixth Form 

Choosing your Post-16 pathway is an exciting step but deciding which A Level or Level 3 courses are right for you can sometimes feel challenging. We are here to support you throughout the process and help you make informed decisions about your future. 

To apply for a place at Holte Sixth Form, please follow these steps: 

  1. Explore our courses and entry requirements and identify the subjects that interest you most. 
  2. Speak to your subject teachers about the courses you are considering. They can provide valuable advice on course content, expectations and suitability.
  3. Discuss your options with your parents or carers to ensure you make the best choices for your future aspirations. 
  4. Check your predicted grades against the entry requirements for your chosen courses and continue working hard to achieve or exceed them. 
  5. Complete the appropriate application form:  
          • Current Holte School Year 11 students: Internal Application Form 
          • External applicants from other schools or colleges: External Application Form 

          Application Deadline 

          The application window for September 2027 entry will open at 6pm on Thursday 3rd December and close at 8pm on Thursday 7 January 2027 

          Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered during the main application round. 

          Offers and Enrolment 

          Following the publication of GCSE and Level 2 results, students who meet both the conditions of their offer and the entry requirements for their chosen courses will be offered a place at Holte Sixth Form and invited to enrol for September 2027.  

          Late Applications 

          If you have not submitted an application before the deadline and wish to be considered as a late applicant, please attend Holte Sixth Form on GCSE/Level 2 Results Day at 10.00am and bring the following documents: 

          • Your results statement showing your full name and current school. 
          • One form of identification showing your full name and address. 
          • Proof of country of birth (for example, a birth certificate). 
          • Proof of nationality (for example, a passport). 

          Please note that late applications will only be considered where places remain available.
