Next Steps (Post 18)

All students in the Sixth Form receive the necessary guidance and information regarding their “next steps” after completing their studies at Holte Sixth Form. We offer information and guidance on further education, higher education, apprenticeships, training and employment.

 

University

We have a tailored personal development programme designed to give students all the relevant information and guidance regarding university. This includes sessions on the benefits of higher education, applying to university, life as a student and student finance. This involves school liaison officers from universities giving our students advice on these issues in addition to further workshops with their form coaches. We have strong partnerships with:

  • University of Cambridge
  • University of Oxford

 

Apprenticeships

Our personal development programme offers Sixth Form students one to one interviews regarding their options once leaving Holte Sixth Form. This  gives students guidance on whether an apprenticeship is the right post-18 pathway.

Our staff offer information and guidance regarding employment opportunities. The advice offered includes information on the following areas:
